I've gathered with some family
to share a couple days
of thankfulness for blessings
that come in many ways.

The turkey's in the oven,
the salad's in the bowl,
the gravy's on the stove top,
and soon I will be full.

If you really know me,
you know I celebrate
every single holiday
where food is on my plate.

But this one is a great one
where we can all review
all that we've been given,
which I'll now share with you.

I've been given family
and friends who treat me well;
I've been given work to pay
for a house in which to dwell.

I've been given talents which
I share with all around;
I've been given laughter,
my very favorite sound.

I've been given so much more
than I can share in short,
so I'll stop and wish you all
a day of the best sort.
